HOUSTON, August 20 2012 - Last night the WWE held the exciting annual pay Per View (PPV), Summer Slam 2012. This marked the twenty fifth anniversary of this exciting event and it lived up to the hype.
Communities hosted a stimulating chat last night live during the event where personalities and celebrities came by to chat it up with us. CEO of Vera Wear, Angel Rivera, kept us company through the entire event, along with Hollywood’s “It Guy” Eric Zuley who also came to talk with us.
A very special guest also joined us last night, former six time World Heavyweight Champion and current Smackdown General Manager, Booker T, made an appearance in the chat room while he was there live at the event!
There were many exciting matches but of course the world was watching Brock Lesnar versus Triple H. This was a very tight and stiff match just as they had told us it would be, it was a fight. But it also told a great story. Lesnar maintained most of the control in the match, but Triple H definitely had his shining moments.
In the end though, it would be Brock Lesnar who would be the victor as he made Triple H tap out. Lesnar exited the ring and part of the crowd was chanting “Triple H,” while the other part was chanting, “you tapped out!”
Triple H would slowly make it to his feet, and you could read his lips as he said, “I’m sorry.” He then slowly made his way back to the locker rooms with tears in his eyes, he turned to the crowd and said, “goodbye.”
Only time will tell what he means by that.
This marked Lesnar’s second match since his return against John Cena a few months back. Even though Lesnar lost that match against Cena, most just remember the severe beating Cena received at the hands of the monster, Brock Lesnar.
It will be interesting to see what develops over the next several months for Lesnar, the Rock is also going to return to the Royal Rumble in January, so one has to wonder if they will do anything with the two of them.
Whether people tuned into Summer Slam because they love wrestling, or because they love Lesnar, or because they hate Lesnar, one thing is for sure; they were entertained by yet another stellar WWE event!
