LAS VEGAS, March 26, 2012 —The new film ‘October Baby’ is all about overcoming the odds and while the celebs on our top ten list may not have had quite the same difficulties as Hannah, the focus of the film, we have to admit that we are happy that they made their entrance onto this grand stage that we call life.
In the spirit of October Baby and fiercely tackling life head on, here is our Top 10 List of Celebrity October Babies.
10. Simon Cowell (October 7, 1959)
This British music mogul is almost as well-known for his snarky attitude as he is for his Midas touch in the music industry. Simon Cowell has gone from judging his mega-hit creation, “American Idol” to his newest hit on American soil, “The X Factor”. When he’s not creating stars or arguing with the other judges, this October baby is also juggling other multiple multi-million dollar projects, including the British versions of both hit shows.
9. Kate Winslet (October 5, 1975)
This Oscar winning beauty is most well-known for her role in Titanic. Kate Winslet has most recently appeared in the film, “Contagion,” and is currently contemplating taking a role on the theatre stage.
We can all agree that this stunning October baby only gets better with age.
8. Gwen Stefani (October 3, 1969)
The former lead singer of No Doubt leads a picture perfect life; a rock star husband, two gorgeous sons, a major makeup modeling contract, and oh yeah, a red hot fashion line. Gwen Stefani makes balancing all of this look like a walk in the park.
While Stefani seems to have quite a bit on her plate, it appears that family comes first for this October baby.
7. Matt Damon (October 8, 1970)
When he’s not using his star-power to make the a world better place with the creation of non-profits like, Water.org, this October baby continues to make multi-million hit movies. Matt Damon recently appeared in “Contagion, The Adjustment Bureau,” and lent his voice to Happy Feet 2.
This star hits our list with an extra seal of approval for using position in positive way.
6. Brett Favre (October 10, 1969)
The football icon is as well-known for the guessing game on whether or not he would ever really retire as he is for record breaking play. Brett Favre is the former Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings Quarterback who NFL fans will never forget.
The legendary quarterback has found himself in the news yet again, upon the release of the recent New Orleans Saints’ scandal. This tough October baby was so good; the other team had a bounty on his head during the 2009 NFC Championship Game!
Now that’s a hit list we definitely would want to avoid.
5. Michelle Trachtenburg (October 11, 1985)
This October baby is known for her long running role on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, “Gossip Girl”, and most recently, Showtime’s “Weeds”. Michelle Trachtenburg has been acting since she was, literally, an October baby and has not slowed down since.
The gorgeous brunette recently revealed a personal struggle with teen bullying, while showing support at the recent release of Harvey Weinstein’s ‘Bully’.
Michelle shows us that sometimes the best revenge is most definitely success.
4. Drake (October 24, 1986)
Canadian actor turned superstar music artist, Aubrey Drake Graham or just “Drake” began to make girls swoon playing Jimmy Brooks on the hit show “Degrassi”.
After the show ran its course, this October baby managed to find his way into the music world, writing hits and eventually making them himself. You can’t even seem to turn the radio on without hearing a Drake song lately.
The hit maker is currently on tour.
3. Ryan Reynolds (October 23, 1976)
This sexy October baby is constantly on the lips of the gossip bloggers for who he’s dating at the moment or maybe who he’s not dating anymore. Ryan Reynolds has most recently starred in the “Green Lantern” and “The Proposal”. While he’s been linked to “Gossip Girl” Blake Lively, Reynolds will leave us all waiting with baited breath to see what he’s doing next.
2. Kim Kardashian (October 21, 1980)
When she’s not being “flour bombed” on the red carpet, this October baby is busy being a part of America’s reality obsession with the Kardashian clan.
Appearing on the covers on multiple magazines, living her soap opera-like life out in front of the cameras, and well, just being the brand that she is, Kim K. is a celeb that you either love or love to hate.
1. Katy Perry (October 25, 1985)
Multiple chart-topping hits, a divorce, interesting hair color choices, and a white hot career are just a few of the things that currently describe the life of this October baby. The daughter of a preacher, Katy Perry has proven that she’s not afraid to bend the rules to be successful.
The sexy pop star continues to surprise us with hit after hit and what she will do next.
