CORRECTION: Sen. Alexander voting record as Republican confirmed

WASHINGTON, January 9, 2014 – The Washington Times Communities erroneously reported that Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander was registered as a “hard democrat” in a 2012 Tennessee primary based on a document provided by a third-party data aggregator.

Washington Times Communities has not been able to independently verify the document.

Both Mr. Alexander and Tennessee election officials say their records show that he has only voted as a registered Republican, including in 2012.
